Clear Countdown — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

Clear Countdown is a countdown timer for Wix sites. This policy says what it

does with data. It is short because the app does very little with data, and

every sentence here was checked against the code rather than copied from a

template.

The short version

Clear Countdown collects no personal information about anyone — not about the

site owner, and not about their visitors. It stores no names, no email

addresses, no IP addresses, and no identifiers of any kind. It sets no cookies

and runs no analytics or tracking of its own.

What is stored, and where

The countdowns you set up. When you create a timer, its settings are saved

in a collection called Timers in your own Wix site, and your saved clock

designs in a collection called Clock designs. Both live in your site's own

CMS, under your Wix account. We do not hold a copy anywhere.

Those rows contain only:

Nothing in that list is personal information about you or anyone else.

One timestamp in a visitor's own browser, and only for one feature. If you

use the Pro feature that starts a countdown when each visitor arrives, the app

writes the moment they first saw that timer into their browser's localStorage

— a number like 1789004400000, under a key made from the timer. That is what

lets the countdown continue where they left off instead of restarting.

That value never leaves their browser. It is not sent to us, it is not sent to

you, and no identifier is created for them. If their browser blocks storage,

they simply get the full length again, and nothing breaks.

Every other kind of timer stores nothing in a visitor's browser at all.

What the app sends over the network

When a page with a countdown loads, the app asks your Wix site for the

timer's settings, so it knows what to draw. That request goes to Wix, not to

us, and carries nothing about the visitor.

The app makes no other network requests, with one exception: if you choose one

of the optional typefaces, the visitor's browser fetches that font from Google

Fonts. If you leave the typeface as your site's own font — which is the default

— no font is ever fetched and no request to Google is made.

Cookies

None. Clear Countdown sets no cookies, which is why it needs no cookie banner.

Who can see your data

Your timer settings are readable by visitors to your site, because the

countdown has to read them in order to draw itself on the page. This is why

nothing personal is ever put in them. Your saved clock designs are not readable

by visitors at all.

We do not sell, share, or transfer data to anyone. There is nothing to sell.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling Clear Countdown from your site removes the app. Your Timers and

Clock designs collections belong to your site, and you can delete them at any

time from your Wix dashboard under CMS, with or without the app installed.

Because we hold no copy of anything, there is nothing for you to ask us to

delete.

Children

Clear Countdown is a tool for site owners. It is not directed at children and

collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated

before that change ships, and the date at the top will change with it.
